DADU, Feb 17: Rain fell in various parts of Dadu district including Dadu town, Bhan, Jatoi, Phulji, K. N. Shah, Mehar and Faridabad on Monday.

The rainfall affected the power supply as electricity and telecommunications remained suspended for several hours.

SUSPENDED: The DPO, Operations, Dadu, Ali Akbar Banghwar, suspended SHO K. N. Shah, Sub-inspector Abdullah Buriro, and SDI (Drigh Bala) Nabi Bux Channa over the charges of negligence in duty on Monday.

The DPO has asked them to report to the Police Lines immediately.

PM’S VISIT: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali is scheduled to arrive in Dadu on Tuesday.

He will hold a meeting with government officials, MNAs, MPAs, Taluka Nazims, and district Nazims in the Circuit House Dadu.

The prime minister will address several delegations. He will meet a senior politician, Rais Abdul Hameed Khan Jatoi, at the Jatoi House in Dadu and exchange views over current issues.

Later, the prime minister will be briefed about the construction work on the Mazar of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander, which has not been completed for the last many years due to the apathy of the district administration and the Auqaf Department.
