Blasts in Hangu and Bajaur kill four

PESHAWAR: A blast in Bajaur tribal region killed two persons and injured another on Wednesday.

The blast occurred near the election office of Haji Abdul Mannad, an Awami National Party (ANP) candidate from the area.

Earlier during the day, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded in the central market of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Hangu district killing two persons and injuring eleven others on Wednesday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Hussain Badshah told Dawn.Com that the bomb was planted on a hand cart and exploded when their was huge rush in the bazaar injuring 13 persons.

Rescue and emergency teams reached the site of explosion and shifted the injured to District Headquarter Hospital Hangu for medical treatment.

Moreover three people, including two women and a policeman, were killed while 27 others, among them 10 women and children, nine policemen and eight civilians were injured as militants targeted Bannu’s Domail Police station with a car bomb today.
