KARACHI: Minister visits Mehdi Hasan

KARACHI, Feb 2: Provincial Minister of Labour Adil Siddiqui, City Nazim Naimatullah Khan and Chief Secretary K. B. Rind visited the residence of renowned singer Mehdi Hasan on Sunday to inquire after his health.

The chief secretary assured the ailing artiste of all possible help from the government with regard to his treatment.

Talking about the welfare of artists, Mr Rind said their problems would be solved without any delay.

The city Nazim also assured Mehdi Hasan and his family of his cooperation.

Mehdi Hasan’s son thanked the guests and requested the chief secretary to provide transport twice a week to carry his father to hospital. Mr Rind assured him that he would do the needful.—PPI
