QUETTA: At least two persons were killed and another three injured in a firing incident in Dalbandin town of Balochistan on Thursday.

Levies officials told Dawn.com that armed militants opened fire at a vehicle on ByPass road area of Dalbandin town near the Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan province.

Officials further added that two persons were killed on the spot whereas another three sustained serious wounds.

The injured were soon rushed to nearby district hospital for medical treatment where the condition of two persons was reported as critical.

Levies said Haji Muhammad Tahir Shahozai, a tribal leader was also among the dead.

They said armed militants managed to escape from the spot.
