Bus accident kills 20 in Sheikhupura

SHEIKHUPURA: At least 20 people were killed and several others were critically wounded on Saturday when a passenger bus collided with an electricity pole in Sheikhupura, DawnNews reported.

The accident occurred when the high-speed passenger bus travelling from Lahore towards Faisalabad collided with an electricity pole. The driver of the bus lost control due to over speeding.

Later, police and rescue workers reached the site of the accident and shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital.

The accident destroyed the bus completely.

According to rescue sources, the death toll may increase as the conditions of many injured was stated to be critical.
