TAXILA, March 5: Wah Cantonment police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested six men from two different gangs involved in robbery, street crime and theft. The recovered property - including cash, gold, and vehicles - is allegedly worth millions of rupees.

At a press conference at Wah Cantt police station, the local sub-divisional officer, Raja Taifour Akhter, told the media that Inspector Sardar Shakeel Ahmed had led the team responsible for breaking up two gangs of dacoits, one of which was involved in a Taxila dacoity in 2010. Along with the money and goods, police also recovered a stolen motorcycle and a car, along with guns and ammunition that the six men had used in their crimes. — Correspondent
