Published November 26, 2001

RAWALPINDI, Nov 25 : A leader of Pak-Afghan Defence Council and Amir Jamaat-i-Islami Rawalpindi District Maulana Abdul Jalil Naqshbandi has stated that the US-led Coalition’s bombardment of Afghanistan’s unarmed and innocent masses was an act of terrorism.

In a statement issued here, he said that the destruction of Afghanistan by the Americans would deeply hurt the country. He said that the US and its allies have crossed all limits of ethical norms in their pursuit of their power.

He raised the question as to what was the justification for bombardment of Afghanistan now.

He called upon the OIC and human rights activists to take steps to stop bombardment of unarmed people of Afghanistan and using their influence for retrieving of the besieged individuals.— Reporter
