LARKANA, Jan 24: Following registration of three FIRs by the Waleed police station on Wednesday against 20 persons, including three police officers, for encroaching government land and constructing houses and shops on it, police on Thursday demolished all illegal constructions.

The official in charge of the Larkana CIA, Abdul Qadir Chandio, said to be the key character behind the constructions on the land of the telegraph and police departments near the taluka police station, had gone underground to escape arrest, sources said.

Speaking to Dawn on Wednesday, Larkana SSP Jawed Soonharo Jiskani said that Abdul Wahid Chandio, brother of the Larkana CIA in-charge, policeman Abdul Razzak Lahri (driver in CIA), Saeed Ahmed Chandio, Nazeer Hussain Lanjwani and Abid Lanjwani were arrested in a raid.
