Construction of these industrial units is all set to commence at KCIP.

The project will contribute Rs40 billion annually to the GDP and provide approximately 30,000 direct and 180,000 indirect employments.

The project, designed by Jurong Singapore, is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs3.3 billion which would have an investment opportunity of Rs20 billion.

To-date approximately 75 per cent of the total available plots have been sold out while a number of applications are still in the pipeline, a spokesman for the NIP said in a statement.
