LAHORE, Nov 27: Faisal Town investigation police claim to have arrested four members of a dacoits gang and recovered a car, 16 mobile phones and illegal weapons from their possession.
A handout issued on Tuesday said the police arrested Javed Iqbal, ringleader of the Ansar gang, Jehanzeb, Abid and Usman who had confessed to 16 incidents of street crime.
Investigation DIG Chaudhry Shafiq had taken notice of the rising crime in some areas of the city and directed Model Town Investigation SP Ijaz Shafi Dogar to arrest the criminals.
The SP constituted teams which after hectic efforts arrested the criminals.
