ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said here on Monday that if Imran Khan should engage in talks with the Tehrik-i-Taliban-i-Pakistan (TTP), the government would cooperate with him, DawnNews reported.

Kaira added that the government did not prevent Khan from going to South Waziristan but in fact, informed him of the law and order situation in the area.

He added that the international community had condemned drone attacks by the United States as illegal and that the Pakistani government had also opposed the drone attacks since day one.

Moreover, he said that President Asif Ali Zardari had raised the question of drone attacks and the sacrifices made by Pakistan on a global forum.

Kaira said that the government would not accept any form of terrorism, adding that, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wished to resolve the issues of terrorism and Balochistan with cooperation from all political forces.
