RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi’s special counter-terrorism court on Saturday adjourned the Benazir Bhutto murder and Mumbai attacks cases until Sept 15, citing the lack of prosecution witnesses and lawyer’s evidence as reasons for adjournment, DawnNews reported.

Judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman of Rawalpindi’s special counter-terrorism court No.1 held a hearing here for the Benazir Bhutto murder and Mumbai attacks cases at Adiala Jail.

During the hearing for Mumbai attacks case, the prosecution witnesses were not presented in court, which resulted in the adjournment of the court proceedings to Sept 15.

Meanwhile, four more witnesses have been summoned to court for the next hearing.

The same court also heard the Benazir Bhutto murder case. In this case, the court postponed the proceedings as the lawyer’s evidence was not presented to the court. This case was also adjourned to Sept 15.
