RAWALPINDI, Aug 9: Two women in the city were sexually assaulted near Rawat, police said on Thursday.

A group of nine persons were involved in abducting the two women at gunpoint. One of the victims was a kidney patient.

The two women belonged to Dhoke Chaudhrian. While waiting for a wagon at a bus stop, on Tuesday at 6:30 pm, a white Suzuki van, registration number DNU-53 stopped nearby.

One of the victims said: “After negotiating fare with the driver we got into the vehicle in which four passengers were already sitting.”

She said after that the van driver turned towards Islamabad highway — instead of going straight towards Mandra, she tried shouting to attract attention but in vain.

On seeing the woman screaming — one of the occupants of the van pulled out his pistol and threatened the two women to stop shouting. One of the victims said: “The van driver drove the vehicle towards Kashmir road and finally rea-ched a deserted place, where a lone house was located.”

She further said she was raped by the two men in the house, despite she begged them to leave her as she was a kidney patient.
