RECENTLY a teenage boy shot himself in Gujranwala for failing in matriculation examinations. What led the boy to such an extreme action? It was obvious from the news report broadcast by a news channel that harsh behaviour on the part of parents led the boy to commit suicide.
True, parents have expectations but having them fulfilled by exerting unnecessary pressure would only result in dire consequences. Parents should not pressure their children into achieving high grades; they should understand their potential and work accordingly.

The dilemma of our society is that rather than inculcating values of honesty, uprightness and hard work, focus is on achieving success regardless of the manner and means of achieving it. Success is celebrated, honesty is not!

so sad news. i think he was emotionally hijacked by their required expectations. that is why he has lost own life and he was under pressure by their friends. there should be competition between study. but never craze. which is harmful like this sad incidence.
