KARACHI, Dec 20: An in-service training for middle school teachers will begin on Dec 23.

As many as 1,325 teachers have been selected through a pre-training test on Dec 16.

According to an official at the selection committee, the lists of the selected teachers have been displayed at the following centres:

District Officer Education, Karimabad; DOE Secondary and Higher Secondary, Boulton Market; DOE Elementary (male); DOE Elementary (Female), Govt Anjuman-i-Islamia Secondary School, Liaquatabad; and the NJV Govt Boys Higher Secondary School.

The chairman of the section committee for middle school project, Mohammad Afsar Ali, said that teachers would be imparted training aimed to develop their professional skills and it would be completed in five phases.

The first phase, involving 265 teachers, would begin at GJV Government Boys Higher Secondary School, MA Jinnah Road, on Dec 23. The teachers have been asked to get relieving letters from their respective DOE and then report at the centres at 8.30am on Dec 23.
