THIS is apropos of a letter ‘Rise of Muslim Brotherhood’ (July 5) by Mr Mehboob Alam. He has based his conclusions without any direct interaction with the Brotherhood. Despite this he has declared Egyptians as ‘emotional’ people. He has admired the performance of Israel against Egypt but did not mention the success of Egypt in recovering Sinai desert from Israel.

It is not fair on the part of the writer to distort events known to all and hide the facts that are visible to everyone. There were difficult times during the recent movement against Hosni Mubarak and his accomplice. The Egyptians deserve our compliments for their success in installing a civilian president who has many challenges ahead.
