ISLAMABAD, June 25: The executive board of the National Accountability Bureau has decided to file a supplementary reference against Nisar Hussain Shah, a former director general of the livestock department, for having accumulated assets beyond his known sources of income.

The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by NAB chairman Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari here on Monday.

Mr Shah is alleged to have accumulated assets of Rs28.8 million and in December 2009 a reference had been filed against him in the Accountability Court.

During the course of trial, an additional property (a house at Jinnah Town in Quetta) was found to have been purchased in 1998 in the name of his son. The value of the property was estimated at Rs11.94 million.

In another case, the board decided to hold an inquiry against Naeemullah Shahani, a former MPA, and Aleemullah Shahani, a former tehsil nazim of Bhakkar.
