KOLKATA: Three people suffered minor injuries after a temporary stand at the Eden Gardens collapsed because of a rain storm during the Indian Premier League fixture between Kolkata Knight Riders and Deccan Chargers that was washed out on Tuesday.

IPL Chief Executive Sundar Raman confirmed on his Twitter page that three people had been injured in the incident but that they were now “all back home.”

The structure, a makeshift venue operations center, was built during renovation for last year's World Cup but not converted into a permanent structure afterward.
