ISLAMABAD, April 22: Aamir Atlas Khan on Sunday proved his critics wrong as he won the final of the 10th Pakistan International Chief of Army Staff Squash Circuit-II at the Mushaf Squash Complex.

The experienced Aamir did not give any room to Nasir, keeping his composure and displayed competitive squash.

Aamir won the first game 11-7.

During the second game, Aamir covered the court well and took full advantage of better stamina and skill, winning the last two games 11-8 and 11-8.

“I am physically fit and proved all my critics wrong,” asserted Aamir.

Aamir was banned by the Pakistan Squash Federation over disciplinary grounds from featuring in national squash circuit. He could however participate in international events.

The winner was awarded a shield and $1,805.

Meanwhile, in the girl’s event, Zoya Khalid defeated Saima Shaukat 3-2 (11-5, 8-11, 8-11, 12-10, 15-13).

She was awarded $400 along with a shield while Saima was given $280.
