KOHAT, April 13: A man was shot dead by his rivals, while a woman was killed when a pistol ‘went off accidentally’ while being cleaned by her son on Friday.

Piao Khan and his son Saim shot dead a young man Shaheen in Darmalak village of Lachi tehsil and then fled the scene, police said.

The Lachi police registered case against the man and his son on the report of Naseem, the uncle of the deceased, and launched investigation.

In another case a woman was killed when a pistol being cleaned by her son went off in Kamal Khel area in the jurisdiction of Bilitang police.

Saifullah told the police that her mother, Zareen, died accidentally and that he had no intention to kill her. — Correspondent
