KARACHI, March 14: Another female foetus was found in a storm drain in the city on Wednesday exactly a month after five foetuses had been found in a garbage dump near a storm drain in Manzoor Colony.

The six- to seven-month-old foetus was found in the storm drain passing through Rajput Colony of Gulshan-i-Iqbal Block 3, said an official at the Mobina Town police station.

The foetus was taken out from the drain by the volunteers of a rescue service under police supervision, said Mobina Town SHO Khan Mohammad.

They shifted the foetus to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities, said the SHO.

He quoted doctors at the JPMC as saying that the foetus was six to seven months old. Following the medico-legal formalities, the foetus was buried by volunteers of the rescue service. As in the latest case, all the five foetuses found near a storm drain in Manzoor Colony on Feb 14 were also female.
