KARACHI, March 11: A senior police officer along with his four associates was on Sunday booked in a robbery case at the Sohrab Goth police station, police said.

Sohrab Goth SHO Abdul Ghaffar Jummani said that a case (FIR 214/2012) was registered against SP Zakir Hussain and his four associates under Section 397 (robbery or dacoity with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

He said that Muhammad Afzaluddin was the complainant in this case. The four associates of the SP had been arrested while the SP was at large, he added.

He was reluctant to share further details, while no senior police officers were willing to divulge more information.
