KARACHI, March 6: A one-year-old baby was kidnapped from a government hospital within the remit of the Sharifabad police station on Tuesday, police said.

They said that Rizwana Khatoon went to the Sindh Government Hospital, Liaquatabad, along with her three children for a routine check-up. She left her two daughters at the waiting lane to take her youngest baby to the doctor for the check-up.

When she returned, she found her four-year-old daughter sitting alone, while her one-year-old daughter, Dua, was not there.

Rizwana told the police that a veiled woman was sitting beside her. She gave some money to her four-year-old daughter and sent her to get some sweets and when she returned her younger sister and the woman were missing.

The police registered a case (FIR 63/2012) against an unidentified woman on Rizwana's complaint.The victim family lives in Dilawar Goth, Karimabad.
