ISLAMABAD, March 01: Federal Investigation Agency here on Wednesday night claimed to arrest a human smuggler in a raid, sources told Dawn According to details, in response to a tip off, the FIA team raided a travel agent’s office in I-10 Markaz and arrested it owner. During search, the team recovered 365 Pakistani passports besides scores of driving licenses, blank medical certificates of different government hospitals and trade certificates used in verification of profession.

An FIA officer requesting not to be named told Dawn the one arrested was identified as Safeer Ullah Khan who was allegedly involved in human smuggling.

He arranged visas and other documents for people who wanted to go abroad. The accused was reported to be operating human smuggling network under the cover of travel agency. A case was registered against him. — Staff Reporter
