Hey kids, let’s visit a website which may help us learn things and be entertained at the same time. Let’s visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/, a colourfully designed site that offers games, music, stories, activities and other useful stuff!

The homepage is designed in Flash with vibrant colours, and easy-to-use navigation at the top with amusing icons. Play Games, Song Time, Make & Colour, Story Time, and Watch & Listen are the sections of this fun-filled website powered by the well-known BBC.

When you click Play Games, you land on the games page where, by default, you are shown games picked up by the website itself.

These games are sure to be exciting, but if you wish to explore more games, you can choose games by themes on the left panel present on the page. The themes include Brain Teasers, Keyboard, Everyday Life, etc. There are also games available under the heading of Music & Art and Seasonal games.

The Song Time section lets you listen to songs picked by the website administrators, or handpicked by you, divided into themes like animals, everyday life, seasonal, etc. All the songs are especially made keeping the interest of kids — you — in consideration and, thus, will make you laugh, learn and enjoy the music.

The following Make & Colour section is all about activities. What you get here is colouring and DIY-type (Do it yourself) activities for learning and doing. You ‘make’ and then you ‘colour’ the graphics. Alternatively, you can click on animals, arts & crafts, dressing up, model making, cooking, etc.

Story Time gives us stories to not only read but to ‘watch’ as well — yes, there are movies of the stories too and when you play them, the text of the story appears as the subtitle at the bottom of the screen. Thus, you not only get to read interesting stories, but also watch small and interesting movies on your computer screens. The movies, by the way, are meant for children thus you can easily get the permission to watch them from your parents.

In the last section, Watch and Listen, you have movies focused more on imparting information but in an entertaining way rather than pure entertainment and include movies like Cheetah Facfile, Jack in the Box, Meet the Characters, Pingu, etc.
