DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 23: Unidentified motorcyclists gunned down a teenage boy in a busy commercial area on East Circular Road here on Thursday, police said.

They said that the victim, identified as Usman alias Ali Sher Haidri, was shot dead while he was returning home after dropping his sister at a nearby college.

Saifur Rahman told the Cantonment police that his son had received bullet injuries in head. Mr Rehman said that Usman was taken to the district headquarters hospital from where he was referred in precarious condition to Peshawar. He said that Usman succumbed to his injuries on way to Peshawar.

The Cantonment police registered a case against unknown assailants and have started investigation. Following the incident the local administration imposed ban on pillion riding.

In another incident on Thursday, accused Mohammad Din and his sons, identified as Hassan and Hussain, of Katakhel Nawab village killed one Pervez, a driver of a passenger pickup, over a minor dispute and escaped. The Panyala police have registered the case.
