LAHORE, Dec 12: Racecourse police on Monday obtained statement from Missal Khan, complainant of missing model Sapna Khan, and launched efforts to prove the petitioner’s relation with the woman as real father.

Station House Officer Waseem Akhtar told Dawn that Missal Khan submitted the application and recorded his statement to the police.

He said a report in this regard would be submitted to the court on Dec 14.

He said Nadra had been contacted for matching the identities of both Sapna and Missal Khan as daughter and father, adding that relatives and neighbours were also being approached to ascertain facts.

Earlier, an additional district and sessions judge had ordered the Racecourse SHO to record statement of complainant in actress Sapna Khan’s recovery case and file a report on Dec 14 and hold an inquiry to verify whether the complainant Missal Khan was real father of the missing actress.
