The Dawn Media Group is rendering a great service for the noble cause of education in Pakistan by organising National Spelling Competition annually at District and National levels.

Such events not only motivate the students to compete but consolidate the learning of English, which, being an international language and the language of science and technology is essential for our students.

The Dawn Media Group deserves applause for this. At the same time, I may suggest that mathematics is also an equally important discipline. A competition in math will enhance the mental capacity of our students, in addition to logical and analytical thinking.

Hence it is high time that the Dawn may consider arranging such a competition. Sukkur IBA would be more than happy to co-partner and collaborate in such competitions.
