NOWSHERA, Oct 28: A bailiff recovered a man and his son here the other day from the illegal detention of Jalozai police post before being freed on the court orders.

District and sessions judge, Nowshera Farah Jamshed, who had sent the bailiff, later directed the district police officer to hold an inquiry against the culpable officials and submit a report to him until Oct 31.

The judge had initiated the action after Shaheen, a resident of Bhanamari, Peshawar, complained to him SHO Pabbi police station, Nowshera Roshen Zeb along with a police team raided her house five days ago and took away her husband Mohsin Shah and son Sajad Hussain before detaining them in Jalozai police post.

After release, Mohsin told reporters that his son had contracted second marriage with a girl of Sale Khana village and was being forced by his in-laws to first wife.

He claimed that on refusal, his son's in-laws got him booked in a false case by bribing police.

SUICIDE:

A woman committed suicide over a domestic dispute in the Bakhtai village of Pabbi here on Thursday.
