PARIS, Nov 15: The alleged role of Chechnya in the training of French and European members of the Al Qaeda is to be studied by French authorities as France and Russia convened for the first time in Paris their joint commission on security.
On Wednesday, the anti-terrorism division of France’s public prosecutor’s office decided to open an investigation into the existence of terrorist networks on French soil operated by those trained in Chechnya.
