LAHORE, Oct 12: The Lahore High Court chief justice on Wednesday issued a notice to PML-Q MNA Sheikh Waqas Akram on a petition seeking his disqualification on the basis of alleged fake degree.
Petitioner Hanif Khalid submitted through his counsel that the respondent – a state minister -- possessed fake BA degree and was liable to be declared disqualified under article 63 of the Constitution.
The chief justice after hearing the preliminary arguments issued notices to the MNA and other respondents for Oct 27.
