SUKKUR, Nov 8: Three people were kidnapped by a gang of dacoits near Tangwani, Jacobabad district, on Thursday night.
Berkat Golo, Badaruddin, and Dayo were headed for Kandhkot in a taxi (V-3047) being driven by one Noor Hassan. Near Tangwani, 10 armed dacoits intercepted it and forced Noor to drive it towards the Katcha area.
When they reached the Katcha area, the dacoits sent Noor with a message for the relatives of Berkat, Badaruddin, and Dayo to arrange ransom for their release.
GIRL KILLED: A young girl named Maryam was shot dead in Kashmore on Thursday.
The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.
However, an FIR has been registered against two persons named Mir Mazari and Altaf Mazari in the Gealpur police station.
No arrest has so far been reported.
