KARACHI, July 20: Sahabzada Fazal-ur-Rehman Afridi, father of  former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, breathed his last on Wednesday in Karachi after he suffered a severe heart attack.

Fazal-ur-Rehman was admitted to the Aga Khan Hospital where he suffered the heart attack.

Earlier, Afridi had returned home from England because of his father’s critical condition. Afridi was representing Hampshire County in England.

“Namaz-i-Janazah [of the deceased] was held after Asr prayer, while he will be buried in Scout Colony graveyard in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi,”  Afridi’s younger brother Mushtaq said.—APP
