KARACHI, July 19: Fancied Karachi and Mirpurkhas Greens won their matches in the Sindh Inter-district men’s basketball championship which commenced at Mohammad Medical College courts on Monday evening.
Karachi outplayed Sukkur 54-17 with Talah Amjad shining for winners contributing 18. Talah Abid scored four for winning outfit.
Earlier, Mirpurkhas Greens beat Larkana 41-40 in a nail-biting finish. Junaid (18) and Lateef (11) were the main scorers for winners while Muzammil Ashfaq scored 16 for losers.
Six teams — Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and two from Mirpurkhas — are competing in the event.
