RAWALPINDI, July 13: Two robbers looted ornaments from a house in Muslim Town while a drug store was robbed in Banni area, police and victims said on Wednesday.

Mohammad Younas told Sadiqabad police that two masked men forced their way into his house in his absence and took the inmates hostage. One of the gunmen stood guard at the entrance while his accomplice started searching the rooms.

He said robbers escaped with Rs55,000 cash, gold ornaments and diamond rings.

In another incident, two men walked into a medical store in Banni area and forced the owner and customers to give up cash and cellphones, police said.
