ISLAMABAD:  The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the government to suspend all notifications issued against FIA Additional Director General Zafar Qureshi, DawnNews reported.

Moreover, Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry summoned Interior Secretary Qamar Zaman Chaudhry for issuing another show cause notice to Mr Qureshi.

The court also summoned the FIA’s director general for cancelling the transfer order of a subordinate officer.

“DG FIA should present the notification in court or go to jail,” Chief Justice Iftikhar said.

He further said to Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq that he could not do anything against Zafar Qureshi without the court’s permission.
