QUETTA, June 12: Five people were killed and 20 others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger wagon and another vehicle near Ziarat on Sunday.

Levies Force sources said that the Ziarat-bound wagon collided with the vehicle coming from the opposite direction near Pachhi dam at a blind turn on the Quetta-Ziarat road.

Four people died on the spot and 21 were injured. Levies personnel took bodies and the injured to the Ziarat district hospital. One of the injured later died.

The condition of 12 injured people was said to be serious and they were taken to Quetta civil hospital.

Four of the victims were identified as Zubaida Bibi, Ikramullah, Bismillah Khan and Ghani Khan.
