QUETTA: Balochistan Director of the FIA Shakeel Durrani appeared on Thursday before a tribunal investigating the killing by security forces of five foreigners in Kharotabad last month and said there was no Pakistani visa or entry stamp on their passports showing their entry into the country.

He said the five foreigners, three women among them, did not enter Pakistan legally.  The tribunal is headed by Justice Mohammad Hashim Kakar of the Balochistan High Court.

Mr Durrani said the Federal Investigation Agency had an immigration office at the Chaman border which registered the names of those passport holders who went to other countries through Afghanistan.

He said that about 8,000 to 10,000 people crossed into Pakistan and Afghanistan daily and the names of the five foreigners killed on May 17 were not registered at the immigration office.
