QUETTA, May 11: The Balochistan High Court issued notices on Wednesday to respondents, deputy attorney general and Balochistan advocate general in a petition filed by Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti against former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf in the Nawab Akbar Bugti's murder case.

The bench, comprising Chief Justice Qazi Faez Issa and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, directed respondents to submit at the next hearing comments regarding the investigation conducted so far on the FIR filed by Dera Bugti police against the former president. Dera Bugti police, on orders of the high court, had filed the murder case on Oct 13, 2009, against Gen Musharraf and others under Section 302 read with section 34 PPC.

The petitioner submitted that no investigation had been conducted till the date in respect of the said crime.

The court further directed that comments should disclose the name and designation of the person/persons conducting the investigation.

Shakeel Ahmed Hadi and Sohail Rajput advocates appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

The hearing was adjourned till May 18.
