KARACHI, May 2: Karachi Zebras and Dadu moved into the quarter-finals of the All Sindh Inter-district Twenty20 cricket tournament after scoring contrasting victories on Sunday.

Dadu defeated Nawabshah by eight runs after an exciting encounter at the PCB Ground in Dadu.

Mohammad Khalid hammered 71 with three sixes and six fours as Dadu scored 144-7 in 20 overs. Mohammad Nabi claimed two for 25.

Nawabshah, in reply, were restricted to 136-9 in 20 overs. Nabi, after his fine bowling, excelled with the bat as well to strike three sixes and four fours in his knock of 40 but that failed to save his team from defeat. Karachi Zebras, meanwhile, whipped Larkana by six wickets at the PCB Ground in Larkana.

Habibullah smashed nine boundaries in making 60 as Larkana made 125-9. Akbar-ur-Rehman took three wickets for 21 runs. Karachi Zebras reached the target for the loss of four wickets with three balls to spare.
