GUJAR KHAN, April 26: Two women were murdered by their husbands while another died in road accident in Gujar Khan tehsil during the last 24 hours, the police said.

In the first incident, Hashim Khan allegedly shot dead Jabeena Bibi over some family dispute in Mohra Mando in Mandra police area on Monday.

Hashim along with his father and other family members came to his wife’s house to settle the dispute with his wife.

In the meantime, their discussion turned hotter and Hashim Khan allegedly took out pistol and opened fire on his wife killing her on the spot.

The police have registered a murder case against Hasim Khan and his father Aslam Khan but so far no arrest has been made.

In the second incident Tanzeela Bibi, the daughter of Said Rasool was shot dead by her husband Masood Ahmed on Tuesday, in the village Chechi Chohan, in Jatli police area.

According to the police, a dispute cropped up between the couple while they were reaping wheat crop in the fields and the hot-tempered husband fired two shots at his wife. The police have registered a case after shifting the body to the tehsil headquarters hospital while no arrest has been made.

Khadija Bibi resident of Missa Kaswal was crossing GT road in Gujar Khan city when a speeding vehicle hit her and she died while being shifted to tehsil headquarters hospital.

In Attock, a woman was killed by her brother-in-law over a family dispute at Mianwalah village of Pindi Gehb police station.

Police said that Mehar Bari while wife of Muahmmad Sharif was present at her house, when her brother-in-law Muhammad Younus attacked her with weapon killing her on the spot.

Police rushed to the seen and shifted the body to DHQ hospital for postmortem.
