QUETTA, April 20: A professor of Engineering University Khuzdar was kidnapped by gunmen and taken away to some unknown place, police sources said on Wednesday. They said that Prof Dr Abdul Hameed Mengal was intercepted by the armed men riding a pickup near the university on Tuesday evening.

The sources said that another man, Mohammad Ayub, son of Mohammad Hasni, was kidnapped on Wednesday when he was on his way home.

An operation has been launched in different areas of Khuzdar to find the two men, police said. BODY FOUND: A bullet-riddled body of an unidentified person was

found in Awaran area on Wednesday.

The Levies Force personnel rushed to Choko area of Awaran district after receiving information about the presence of the body and shifted it to the district hospital.
