“Say cheese”…white flash, teeth shine, these are not only some of the happiest moments in the political world but they host the facial expressions that definitely take them to the list of million dollar smiles. Needless to say we have celebrities like Keisha trying hard and just not getting the perfect happy face.

I have no intentions of inviting or hearing any political hoo-hah (and specially negative, critical, and depressive keyboard banging), as these photos are just my longing to share a million dollars worth of opinions by bagging the winning award for the most coveted prize – I AM HAPPY.

This one is one of those extremely rare moments where all three usually hands-folded leaders are actually indulging in bonding time…

The next one is a surprisingly huge smile and it reminds me of a question that I asked my mom as a naive child a long time ago sitting at Mr Burger in Karachi spotting a maulvi sahib inside the fast food joint, which was something like “Do maulvi sahibs eat burgers too?”…

…Sorry Maulana Sahib, with the beard you can only land a part in the next Pirates of the Caribbean as the new Davy Jones. – Photo by Online

A special spot of course has been reserved for a woman who might just be able to beat out the rest…

…Although Ms Khar is my most admired female in the cabinet, her smile is too mischievously cute which is completely unfair to the rest. – Photo by Online

Not to be missed is the still dashing yet not winning anything since a long time man…

Then there are the Chaudhrys…

For once, we can not sideline the Balochis as they are a part of this as much as anyone else…

The younger tiger deserves a mention too…

…Unfortunately he can’t show his eager enthusiasm for he was warned that too much merry making may lead to severe hair loss, again. – Photo by AFP

This list would not be complete without the presence of a few international faces. So the very first one is none other than…

The second dominating personality whose teeth cannot be ignored is THE President…

…Trying not to get defocused and blurred out by the first lady for the camera…FAIL! – Photo by AP

The third is too unbreakable to compete solo…

Finally we come to the incomparable smile of all time (No it is not Mona Lisa, she would never win, she is too darn bashful). This man just seems so perfectly happy standing for all his portraits the pathetically fruitless entertainment channels can air a whole new reality show wiping everything else off the air (thankfully including Veena Malik, Mathira, Steven Tyler, Snookie, Justin Bieber, Zaid Hamid – he is definitely entertainment, Pastor Terry – no one can argue that he is not entertainment, and the list goes on endlessly) dedicated to the ‘I have no competition’ winner called ‘So you think you can smile’. A long time ago Jim Carrey said he practiced making faces standing in front of a mirror as a kid all day long every day of his life to become what he is today. Little did he know a kid way before him had been practicing much harder.

The winner is…

…No matter what anyone says, the man’s smile never ceases to amaze. – Photo by author
