ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the appeals of 13 men sentenced to death in an attack on former president Pervez Musharraf, SC also asked to bring case record of further two accused from ministry of defence, DawnNews reported.

Defendants including eight civilians, an army and six air force officials were sentenced to death by a military court.

During the hearing, the appellants’ counsel Colonel Ikram said that he was not heard at any forum and according to the military act civilians and Air force officials can not be prosecuted by a military court.

Moreover, during the proceeding, Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry said certain public representatives were openly disrespecting the courts’ rulings.

However, the judiciary would continue to make decisions according to the constitution, he said.
