SUKKUR: Man shot dead

SUKKUR, Oct 10: Five armed men shot dead a man, Jahangir, on the pretext of Karo-kari in Khanpur the other day.

Jahangir’s brother, Banho, had an FIR lodged against the five armed men. The names of four have been ascertained as Ghulam Qadir, Ali Hussain Shah, Nawaz, and Kamran Malik.

Our Hyderabad bureau reports: Armed highwaymen opened fire on a car as a result of which three people including a woman — Kalpana Devi, Pramod, and Shankar Lal were injured near Odero Lal the other day.

The highwaymen were looting passengers. When they tried to stop the car, its driver accelerated its speed. The former opened fire as a result of which three occupants of the car were injured.
