KARACHI, Feb 24: A 14-member Karachi region senior women's cricket team left for Multan on Thursday evening to take part in the sixth National Women's Cricket Championship starting there from Feb 27.

The championship, to be played in two rounds, features 14 teams, namely, Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan, Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Abbottabad, Quetta, ZTBL, PK Board and PK Universities.

The preliminary round will be held in three different zones — Muridke, Sialkot and Multan — with the final round to be staged in Multan. KARACHI SQUAD: Khursheed Jabeen (captain), Arman Khan (vice-captain), Shumaila Qureshi, Aiman Anwar, Kainat Imtiaz, Sadaf Adnan, Javeria Rauf, Maryam Bukhari, Sana Taj, Rumana Arshad, Hiba Batool, Razmina Sultan, Sajida Qurban, Areeba Hasan. Officials: Farah Khallaq (manager), Monis Qadri (coach).
