LARKANA, Jan 31: A man and his infant son were killed and a girl was kidnapped from a village on the outskirts of Nasirabad on Monday.

Armed men stormed the village of Jummo Airee and opened fire, killing Liaquat Ali Airee, 32, and his one-year-old son Zaffar Ali and injuring his wife Dilshad and Ms Lakhan.

The inured were taken to the Chandka Medical College Hospital where they were admitted.

The attackers also kidnapped Liaquat Ali's sister Fiza.

Police linked the incident to an old matrimonial dispute between two groups belonging to the Airee community led by two cousins.

Supervising Police Officer (SPO) of Nasirabad Khan Muhammed Tunio said that the dispute was related to a matrimonial dispute.

Manzoor Ali Airee, uncle of Liaquat, has lodged an FIR with Nasirabad police station against 11 identified and nine unidentified persons.

The SPO said that police had arrested accused Wazeer Ali, Bahadur Ali and Gohar Khokhar and one woman. “We are trying to recover the abducted girl and arrest the rest of the accused nominated in the FIR,” the SPO said. MAN KILLED:

In another incident, a man, Dildar Khoso, was killed in the village of Sono Gondal near Nasirabad. Another identified as Sadam Hussain was injured.

Motorcyclists, believed to be their rivals, fired at them while they were going to Qambar to appear in a case.

In an incident in the village of Chelo near Qambar, Dil Murad Mugheri, 42, was shot dead over enmity. BABY BURNT TO DEATH:

A six-year-old girl, Fatima, was burnt to death when the house of her uncle Mohammad Safar caught fire in Hussainabad Mohalla Qambar of.

A pile of grass caught fire that engulfed the kutcha house.

Inmates tried to extinguish the fire and save the baby but failed.

Later, the family found her charred body from the burnt house.
