Over 3kg gold stolen

Published January 13, 2011

BAHAWALPUR, Jan 13: Burglars on Wednesday night took away more than three kilo gold from a jewellery shop in Sadar Bazaar of Yazman, about 30km from here.

Quoting jeweller brothers Asif and Kashif, the police said three and a quarter kilo gold was worth of Rs15 million.

After hearing about the burglary, shopkeepers of Sarafa Bazaar pulled shutters down and demonstrated against the incident.

They asked the police to arrest the burglars and seize the stolen gold. They also criticised the police for failing to maintain the law and order.
