LAHORE, Jan 4: The 58th National hockey championship will be played from Jan 28 to Feb 13 at Faisalabad Hockey Stadium.

The participating teams are PIA, National Bank of Pakistan, Sui Southern Gas Company, HBL, Wapda, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Port Qasim, Pakistan Steel Mills and PTV.

Former Olympian Khalid Bashir will be the tournament director, Rana Mujahid Ali organising secretary while Malik Mohammad Shafqat and Mohammad Farooq will be the assistant tournament directors.

Rashad Mahmood Butt will act as umpires manager, and will be assisted by Rana Khalid Iqbal. Syed Zulfiqar Haider, Haider Rasool, Rana Mohammad Liaquat, Kamran Hussain, Kamran Sharif, Mubarak Ali, Waqas Butt, Ali Abid, Munir Ahmed, Shahid Pervaiz, Akhlaq Bukhari and Syed Kamran Shah will be the umpires supervising the national championship matches.—APP
