SUKKUR, Dec 16: Different drains and gutters, which have been overflowing for two days, speak volumes of the municipal authorities about taking effective measures for the cleanliness of Sukkur city.
During a survey of the city on Thursday, this reporter saw heaps of garbage and filth piled up at a number of places.
Citizens said that the sanitation staff had failed to turn up these days, leaving mourners taking part in processions to face unpleasant situation. Sometimes they had to divert processions.
A demonstration was also held by the residents of Miani Road in protest against the alleged negligence of TMA Sukkur.—Corresponednt
